AT&T HTC ChaChaThe HTC ChaCha social networking oriented smartphone has surfaced with AT&T branding after being announced for Europe earlier this year. The Android-powered ChaCha features a 2.6-inch 480320 display, an 800 MHz processor, and a 5.0 megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera for video calls. It also features a microSD slot, Wi-Fi radio, Bluetooth 3.0, and will most likely run on AT&T’s 3G network judging by the information on the display. Early information suggests that the phone will be released by the end of July.

The ChaCha is considered the long-rumored “Facebook phone” that has been rumored for the past year and first made its debut during Mobile World Congress this past February, though the phone was not expected to be released outside of Europe. The defining feature of the ChaCha is the dedicated Facebook button on the face of the phone as well as the extensively customized version of the Sense user interface with custom elements to integrate various Facebook services onto the homescreen and through the Android build, such as sharing media and status updates as well as contact integration.
