PlayBook available from Carphone on June 15

Retailer will sell tablet from June 15 in selected stores and on June 16 across its retail estate

Advanced sales of the BlackBerry PlayBook will be available on June 15 from at selected branches of the Carphone Warehouse. The PlayBook will be available from all of Carphone’s branches on June 16.

The tablet can be purchased at Carphone’s newly reopened Selfridges concession store on Oxford Street in London and its stores at London Westfield, the Trafford Centre in Manchester, Blue Water shopping centre in Kent and from Bristol Cribbs.

Customers who have a PlayBook demonstration at the Selfridges concession store will be given a special “goodie bag” courtesy of Carphone and Selfridges. They will also be given the chance to win one of the tablets as well as a BlackBerry Torch.

As part of its relaunch this new Carphone concession store will provide customers with live demonstrations as well as services such as its “Geek Squad”
