Motorola Confirms Summer Release for Droid Bionic

Motorola Twitter responseA response to a question asked to Motorola’s Twitter account has confirmed that the manufacturer is set to deliver the long-delayed Droid Bionic Android smartphone since being first announced during CES at the beginning of the year. The tweet also makes mention of further updates for the device, suggesting that the leaked images from last month were of the final build before going into production.

The original version of the Droid Bionic was to feature a 4.3 inch WVGA resolution display, but was quietly pulled by both Motorola and Verizon as it was meant to launch earlier this Spring. The latest update to the Bionic features a much larger 4.5 inch qHD resolution display and Android Gingerbread along with the dedicated port for the lapdock as found on the ATRIX 4G along with a more powerful GPU and chipset yet to be confirmed while featuring an 8.0 megapixel camera with autofocus and 1080p video capture.
