Damage-Resistant Glass for Phones?

Major glass supplier, AGC Group say that it expects to generate global sales of about $360 million (USD) for its Dragontrail strengthened glass by 2012. The product is suitable for phones and tablets and has been released worldwide today.

AGC say the glass is six times stronger than conventional soda-lime glass and is resistant to scratches, with a better finish than resin. It’s also environmentally friendly with no arsenic or lead materials. The demand for cover material is growing as touchscreens that cover entire devices proliferate.
