Following up on last week’s confirmation of the Motorola Xoom Android tablet launch date for February 17th, Best Buy has internally confirmed its own suggested retail price for the Android Honeycomb tablet. Previously pegged at $799 based on Verizon MAP pricing, Best Buy’s outright retail pricing sets the tablet at $699.99 before any additional subsidies such as a new agreement, provided the tablet is offered with a conventional agreement.
The Motorola Xoom will feature a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor 10.1-inch capacitive display at 1280800 resolution, while 4G LTE connectivity will be made available as an update in Q2. Other specs include a 5.0 megapixel camera, 720p video recording and 1080p video playback, 802.11n WiFi radio, Bluetooth 2.1, and 32GB of on-board storage. The battery is rated to be capable of 10 hours of video playback on a single charge.
