Apple iPad 2 and iPhone 5 Lose Home Button

We have a little bit of info on the next generation iOS devices to come out of the Apple camp later this year, the Apple iPad 2 and iPhone 5 as they are currently being referred to in the mobile space.

According to an article over on the Boy Genius Report by  Jonathan S. Geller, their Apple source has said the reason iOS 4.3 delivers multi-touch gestures is because the Apple iPad 2 wont have a home button.

Furthermore, the iPhone 5 will also lose the home button like the Apple iPad 2. Apparently according to the Apple source, Apple is testing iPhone and iPad units without home buttons at their campus right now and will see the new changes when Apple releases the new iOS devices later in the year.

However, apparently the next generation Apple iPad will apparently feature the photo taking app Photo Booth and there’s word that iFile apps may also make an appearance on iOS when the next Gen iPad is released.

So what do our iOS toting readers think of this idea of an iPhone and iPad without any home button, good idea or bad? Feel free to let us know your views on this matter by dropping us a comment below.
