Well if you are an owner of the iPhone 3G handset and aren’t too happy with your iOS perhaps what you need is to switch over to the Android platform, which you just may be able to do in the not too distant future, and not just the Android platform but Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
The reason is apparently some ingenious hacker has now managed to port Android 2.3 Gingerbread right onto the Apple iPhone 3G by using OpeniBoot software which is an open source software based on iBoot which enables jailbreakers to insert their own code.
And just so you can see what Android 2.3 Gingerbread running on the Apple iPhone 3G looks like we have a video of the occasion for your viewing pleasure which comes our way courtesy of the guys over at Daily iPhone Blog and by way of TwitVid user Nick Pack, however the video seemed to take forever to load so I grabbed the same one from YouTube user MsYoustation.
The video delivers two and a half minutes of Android 2.3 Gingerbread playing nice on the iPhone 3G and although there is a lack of any commentary you don’t really need any to see Android on the iOS device, so all you need do now is punch that play button and check it out.,.enjoy.
