Verizon Wireless representatives have confirmed to PhoneNews.com that the forthcoming iPhone will only be available on month-to-month service plans as well as the standard two year agreement with no option for either prepaid or 1 year agreement options, following last Friday’s confirmation of availability on month-to-month service.
Purchases on month to month service plans require the purchase of an iPhone at full retail price, which is set at $649.99 for the 16 GB version and $749.99 for the 32GB version.
In related news, general pre-orders for the Verizon iPhone outside of tonight’s limited pre-order window for current customers start on February 9th via Verizon Wireless online and the online Apple Store. Verizon Wireless retail and Apple Stores are also opening at 7AM on the 10th in order to accommodate pre-orders and new customers as well as select third-party dealers and via 800 number.
