Android Devices MoBiz Platform Unveiled by OKI

OKI has now unveiled their upgraded MoBiz platform v1.1 for Android smartphones and tablets running Android 2.2 Froyo or above and also to smartphones running Windows Mobile 6.5 and up, and enables developers to create business apps in the Japanese market.

The MoBiz platform v1.1 for Android according to an article over on CBR, is a middleware product line that offers an optimised three layer system that combines the advantages of local apps with web apps and consists of MoBiz platform client, MoBiz platform server.

Apparently the MoBiz platform is available in two formats, the MoBiz platform for system developers and the system consignments for enterprises.

The General Manager of Software Center, IT Solutions and Services Business Division at OKI, Yuichiro Hiranuma, says… “MoBiz Platform Ver.1.1 for Android allows the development of applications with general Web application technologies like JavaEE, HTML, and JavaScript and frees system developers from the need to master specialized technical skills for each mobile system.”
