AT&T has opened market for a more powerful Windows phone from the standard unit sold by HTC. The new HTC HD7S for AT&T is now available directly in stores, the company website, or from Amazon. US customers have already seen the HTC HD7 as sold by T-Mobile back in October last year. Planning to obtain the phone depends on which company it will be taken from. AT&T offers the unit for over $199.99 while Amazon presents it at a cheaper price of $99.99, both for news customers with a two-year lockdown period.
Amazon does not stop there since it sells the unit less costly at $489.99, $10 more economical than what AT&T is selling. Aside from the S-LCD capacitive touch screen, everything else is the same between its original predecessors. Specs include 1 GHz Scorpion processor, 16 GB internal storage, 576 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM for memory, HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 2 Mbps for 3G networking, HSPA, Wi-Fi 802.11n, and Bluetooth for other network connections.
