Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Special Edition Handled at Google I/O 2011

During Google I/O 2011 at the Moscone Centre in San Francisco Samsung re-announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, a special edition tablet with new and improved specs with a white alien engraved backing purely for Google I/O attendees.

And the guys over at the Boy Genius Report managed to get their hands on one of these special edition Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 devices for some hands on time, and their first impressions of the device is that it is really thin and gorgeous.

The special edition Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a textured polymer backing, a darkened chrome bezel, a virtually perfect weight, runs Android 3.0 Honeycomb but will apparently “in a few weeks” be updated to the new Android 3.1 OS.

The guys say that having also handled the original Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Sammy has taken the time to refine the design before pushing the tablet out to the market. We have posted a couple of pictures here and if you wish to see more you can hit up the BGR website.

Any of our reader contemplating picking up the new and improved Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 once the Android tablet becomes available?
