The award-winning Honeycomb tablet will be available to purchase from Telstra for $840 outright. 

Post-Paid Options

Telstra Consumer customers will be able to team the Motorola XOOM with one of three 24-month Telstra Data+ Cap Plans, which include a monthly MRO Bonus credit to put towards the cost of the device when customers sign up for an eligible Mobile Repayment Option (MRO).

Pre-Paid Options

Consumer customers will also be able to team the Motorola XOOM with a Pre-Paid service. More details will be made available closer to launch.

Telstra Business Options

Telstra business customers will also be able to take up the XOOM with a range of Telstra Mobile Broadband Member Plans over 24 months.

Motorola XOOM is the first device to run on the Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) platform.  It delivers exceptionally fast performance with its 1GHz dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM.  The tablet showcases the innovations of the Honeycomb user experience – including an interactive, customisable homescreen with moveable widgets, notifications and tabbed browsing – on a 10.1-inch 1280×800 widescreen HD display, enabling video content that’s richer and clearer than ever before. Support for HDMI enables viewing of videos and movies on larger screens, such as HD televisions.  A 5MP rear-facing camera captures HD video, and a 2MP front-facing camera enables clear video chats using Google Talk.

The latest Google Mobile services include Google Maps 5.0 with 3D interaction (available initially in select Australian cities only) and access to over 150,000 apps from Android Market. Motorola XOOM also supports a beta version of Adobe Flash Player 10.2 downloadable from Android Market, enabling the delivery of rich Flash-based Web content including videos, casual games and rich Internet applications.

The XOOM can also be used by business customers on the go to access email, calendar, contacts and tasks from Microsoft Online Services available through Telstra T-Suite.

A Speaker HD Dock for sending HD content directly to a TV or clearly listening to music through two built-in speakers, eliminating the need to attach external speakers – $149 RRP

Power Pack (Car Charger and AC Charger) – $49 RRP
